An attractive early 19th century view of St. Mary’s Guildhall, Lincoln which was drawn and engraved by J. Salmon and J. Rogers, respectively, and published in Thomas Allen’s History of Lincolnshire (London & Lincoln: John Saunders, 1834-1836).
The building has often been referred to locally as “John of Gaunt’s Stables” and should not be confused with the now demolished “John of Gaunt’s Palace”.
