An attractive early 19th century engraving of Wressle Castle in the East Riding of Yorkshire which was sketched*, drawn and engraved by W. Savage, J. P. Neale and Matthews respectively, and published in John Britton & Edward W. Brayley’s The Beauties of England and Wales (London: Vernor & Hood, 1801-1815). *The sketch was made before a fire was gutted the castle in 1796.

  • This is an original copperplate engraving with fine later hand colour.
  • Printed area is approximately 15cms by 11.4cms (including title & imprint).
