A very attractive Victorian chromolithograph of the Zygopetalum maxillare (var. Andersonianum) which was published in James Anderson’s The New Practical Gardener (London, Edinburgh & Glasgow: William Mackezie, 1875).

Zygopetalum maxillare is a native orchid species found in southeastern Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina, known for its striking flowers and endangered status.
