An interesting and decorative early 18th Century map of Anglo-Saxon England by an unknown cartographer. This type of map is also referred to as a ‘Heptarchy’ as it represents the seven Anglo-Saxon kingdoms (Northumbria, Mercia, East Anglia, Essex, Kent, Sussex and Wessex).

  • This is an original copperplate engraving with later hand colour.
  • Printed area is approximately 30.9cms by 20.4cms.
